Program · @ CAM Studios for Playwrights and Composers
A unique opportunity designed to nurture the development of new plays and musicals in their earliest stages.
Get In Touch01
Private Studio Space
A private lock-out studio at CAM Studios for one full week, providing an uninterrupted professional creative environment.
02
No Pressure Development
This residency is not for industry presentations. It is for the quiet, essential process of exploration and writing that fuels future theatrical innovation.
03
Three Annual Awards
LDK Productions awards three residencies annually on a rolling basis, open to playwrights and composers at any career stage.

The Program
The LDK Writers' Residency exists for the part of the process nobody funds: the weeks before anything is ready to be shown. Recipients receive a private lock-out studio at CAM Studios for one full week, to be used entirely at their discretion — writing alone, working with a collaborator, hearing pages read aloud, or rewriting from the ground up.
There is no required presentation, no showcase, and no report. Our belief is simple: investing in writers at the earliest stage is how new plays and musicals eventually reach an audience. Residencies are open to playwrights and composers at any point in their careers, and we welcome projects in every stage of development.
